Management Buy Outs/Ins
A management buy out is another way of allowing an existing business owner (or owners) to exit.
It is the sale of a business to a management team either already in the business (buy out) or to an external management team (buy in).
We can work either on the behalf of the departing owner(s) or the management team.
Very often, the management team will not have sufficient funds themselves to buy the business and will require assistance from external parties such as private equity, debt finance, or vendor finance (e.g. deferred consideration).
This can sometimes mean that the transaction is more complex than an external sale with multiple parties involved but it can also equally be smoother as it reduces the need to source potential purchasers and can mean working with a team who are already familiar with the business.
We can help structure an MBO/MBI to suit your needs. We can also assist you in sourcing the right finance package for the deal.
Acquisition Support
